Wow, it broke the radiator without deforming the hood or bumper cover? Or maybe it did, I just can't tell from the pic.

No shoes, no shirt, and I still get service. Wah!

I can see a big honkin' dent in the hood. I'm guessing the hood hit the radiator andcaused it's damage?[/code]

Ok now the ins co thinks I have to settle for $3150 for the car as a total loss. I don't fuckin think so, unless I keep the car,

Sounds pretty normal. Rebuild costs on a 12 year old car are astronomical! When I redid the bumper and hood on my Subaru, paint ran $1600!

At least it's not aluminum bodywork.

They want to give me trade value. I said I need a fuckin car, (not true but they don't know it) find me a Beetle with a new head and turbo for $3150. Hell I'll straighten the radiator support replace the radiator and hood with used parts and drive it if they pay the $3150 and I keep it

How bad is the framework? The body damage looks pretty repairable, and then you did say the radiator broke free.
