'87 VW Scirocco 16V
Here's some shots of the '87 Scirocco 16V I'm trying to get back on the road.

History:
- Dad bought it in 1991
- He drove it as a daily driver for about 2 or 3 years
- It then became his fun/weekend car
- It's been repainted once
- It has roughly 144K miles (odo spins freely)
- It overheated once, dad parked it, and it sat for 3ish years. He intended to get it fixed, but money was needed elsewhere
- He approached me about selling it, I told him I'd love to buy it from him if I had the money, he told me to just take it
- Had it flat-bedded to our house on black Friday

As it sat in mom and dad's driveway:

Some minor rust:

Moving it the 30-ish miles:

Taking inventory of the 'rocco:

Found the shift knob from mom and dad's 74 Super Beetle autostick:

After its first wash in 3 years:

Cleaned up the engine bay a bit:

Progress so far:
- Drained 3 year old fuel
- Removed oil cooler
- Drained oil
- Removed fuel filter
- Installed new fuel filter

Picking up oil cooler o-ring and new coolant line tomorrow. Then it's on to the timing belt and get the car up and running. Then brakes and motor mounts.

I did say I'd gladly drop it off anytime after it's fixed up to give him some time with the car. He said "Maybe."

Looking really good! I always loved these. And the Corrado. Like S30Z, there.
