Hello, my rides are American, I only buy American. Muscle cars are my fave. I have 3 currently. I have been into cars from a very young age when my Dad took me to car shows & we cruised Gratiot to see all the sweet muscle cars! I have always loved 60's & early 70's muscle.

RE: AMERICAN MADE
The 60's Cougars are one of my favorite all time Fords... Aside from the Suicide door Continental (60s).
I grew up in a Chevy/Pontiac family... But I moved out of the American car thing when I started buying my own. But I still do love muscle cars. |

RE: AMERICAN MADE
Well if I can figure out how to post pics on here I will. I always buy American because the money stays here. Foreign cars may be built here (in cruddy right to work states) but the money goes to the country of origin. I want to stay local, plus I like American car designs. I won't say that I don't appreciate a beautiful car of any origin though, so as not to start a debate.

RE: AMERICAN MADE
To post a photo simply:
1. Upload to Photobucket.com (after creating an account). (Or use TinyPic, or Flickr) 2. Photobucket will present you with a couple of boxes when you roll your mouse over the image -- one is the image code for forums. Then copy and paste that code into your posts. Alternatively, right-click any image online and copy the image URL. Then place into your posts and the pictures will show. Clicking the *insert image* button in the post editor above simplifies this process quite a bit.

RE: AMERICAN MADE
You do know alot of american cars are built in other countries... The really hyped up Ford Fiesta is made in Mexico along with many other Ford models and a good amount of Chrysler products to, Chevrolet's are made in Mexico and Canada.
While there are cars like the Toyota Corolla, Matrix, BMW X5, Z4 etc... That are made here. So, You'll support Ford because Ford North America gets the money, While they decided to save more money by putting Americans out of jobs so they can make a plant in Mexico and save money for themselves because mexican labor is cheaper then american. Right? I have afew friends that worked for Toyota at the Nummi plant in Fremont, CA... The plant was really high tech and their workers were highly trained, So I have no problem with my mom and sister in law driving a car that was built over here by over trained employee's named Erick and Nick. Instead of a car built by Juan and Carlos. I'd rather support the little people that put my car together then the big wigs in a giant office building. Just my opinion. Your 09 Mustang was made in Michigan, The point is to not buy brand selective but model selective. |
