GCF stickers?
What does everyone think about a Gay Car Fans sticker? It'd be a good way to tell even more people about the site.
We could have members send in designs and then hold a vote on best design. I'm not sure how much money it would cost but I'd be a willing contributor. Thoughts? Already been done and I missed that thread? RE: GCF stickers?
Bimmerguy - I can probably help you out if they are simple decals and not a complex printed decal. We use to own a sign shop however after selling the business I bought more equipement to still do my own race cars. If these are going to be 1 or 2 colors I can do these for just the price of the vinyl. To give you an idea we can get a roll of any base color (black, blue, red, yellow, white, etc) for around 25 bucks for 10 year vinyl. This is a 50 yard roll that will make hundreds of decals.
Let me know your thoughts and I will work on a few designs to submit myself. Phil |

RE: GCF stickers?
I am all for this. Every major car forum has member decals and it's about time we made our own! I love the idea of a design contest too.
Phil, if you're serious about being able to make the decals please send me a private message so we can organize this. ![]() If anyone wants the PSD file of the GCF logo let me know. ![]() If enough members are interested, I could even setup an official shop with T-shirts, hats, mugs, etc. GayCarFans.com | Twitter & Facebook Blacksburg VA Web Design |

RE: GCF stickers?
Would they actually have the word 'gay' on them? I'd happily display 'GCF' on the bike. Also, would they be window stickers or bumper stickers?

We can have a design contest to determine how subtle we want these stickers to be. Perhaps multiple designs, depending on Phil's production capacity. Also, would they be window stickers or bumper stickers? Oh yea...I don't put stickers on my paint but will put this on my glass. When I'm training for a marathon I put a '26.2' sticker on my car. However I adhered the sticker to a thin magnet and put that on my, well polished, paint. In order to advertise the forum, I would think the word 'gay' has to be in there somewhere (gaycarfans.com)? Otherwise, 'GCF' doesn't mean anything to anyone else.... No shoes, no shirt, and I still get service. Wah! |

Also, would they be window stickers or bumper stickers? I agree that a lot may not want to put "gay" on their car however there is other signs that can be picked out like a rainbow for example. I do know that you can have key words to direct you to sites. For example it if were GCF I am pretty sure there is a way is somebody Googles it they will be directed to this site. Dont quote me on this because I am not a webpage master by a long shot however when we had the website for our business it worked this way. I think this can be done without drawing big attention to you or your car. We have made a lot of club, forum, webpage decals for customers over the years and came up with some really interesting ideas. Here is one for the corvette forum that is on my car that I made. Now keep in mind this one is REALLY large to cover the area we wanted it to and for the look we wanted. ![]() Another option is to use some cool vinyl colors to make it stand out. Some cost a little more like the one below that is in carbon fiber. ![]() Here is another example of over laying multi colors. The blue on this car we did was chrome blue and really stood out.
