I get a laugh at the box that briefly pops up after signing into GCF. It announces you've successfully signed in, and a second sentence then says:

"You will now be taken back to where you came from."

Gawd, I hope not all the way back to New Jersey! Or maybe just to my kitchen, before I came into the office to use the computer? It sounds so butch authoritarian, makes my skin tingle!

Seriously, I don't know if that's a preset box that's programmed into the MyBB software for this site, or if the Administrators have access to alter it. But a more conventional dialogue might be:

"You will now be returned to the last location you were viewing." or something similar. "Returned" or "redirected" sound much less threatening and familiar in computer parlance, than "you will now be taken back to where you came from." Take me away, Officer! LOL!

this computer and my mother just need to get over the fact that I am NOT moving back to South Carolina.... hahaha :-)

I think you're right to say that it is much better to display "You will now be returned to the last location you were viewing". The message currently displayed was the default message that came with the forum software, but I will research how to change it.

Well I see that! And you even used my suggested dialogue, though it was just an example of what I thought might work better than the default message. So I don't have to return to New Jersey after all?
